Burn Fat - Making New Year's Resolutions Work

Tom Venuto, author of Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle,
provides an excellent article for his affiliates on how to
make sure that you you realise your New Year's resolutions.

The article is titled, Brain Science and New Year's Resolutions.

Tom Venuto is not only a fitness expert and champion
bodybuilder, but also a keen student of the human mind
and personal motivation.

He suggests that you need to do the following to make
your resolutions work:
  1. Create clear goals
  2. Ensure you are emotionally attached to your goals
  3. Write your goals down ( and re-write them daily)
  4. Repeat your goals to yourself very frequently
Tom points out that these strategies will help you replace
your current habits with goal-oriented habits and help
you to think positively about goal achievement.

I would also add - visualise the goal being achieved.
When your goal is achieved, what will you look like, feel
like, and be doing differently? How will people view you
and treat you? How will they talk to you?

Tom Venuto devotes a whole chapter of his book,
Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle, to mental states and
motivation and he suggests that all else will fail unless
you address this aspect.
